Somewhere to stay

I like nothing better than heading off at a moment's notice for impromptu get togethers with friends, there's something so "Island of Adventure" about getting in the car and just getting away in the UK. We're really fortunate that we have family and friends dotted all over so can bed down for a night or two, but there are loads of lovely B&B/Self Catering places to stay and here's just a selection of the ones I know of.

Pennard Hill Farm in Somerset will always hold a special place in our hearts. We first went there to plan our wedding, returning a year later to wind down after the wedding, followed by a few weekends here and there when we could. Our romantic get away then became a famiy destination we returned when Loops was 2 and I was pregnant with Mook, then again when Mook was 2. We've not been back since but have told friends about it and they too have fallen in love with it.

Mynydd Mwyn Mawr, Llannerch-y-meddon, Anglesey offers both B&B and camping, bang in the middle of Anglesey. We stayed there in May half term and it was great base to explore the island of Anglesey.

Talbot Road IV in Portobello is a stunning 2 bed/3 person vacation apartment ideal for a London visit. It is bright and airy, beautifully decorated and despite the hustle of popular Portobello it is a haven of calm.

Far away from the bustle of London in Wales is Cilwych which has a variety of properties with the added bonus of home cooked food available to order!

Not far from Cilwych is The Glanusk Estate which has 2 properties Garden Cottage within the Walled Garden and Glanusk Lodge.
