Moth Watch

Carol Williams of the Brecon Beacons National Park has been keeping her eyes open for the much ignored moths of the area and then this one landed on her window.

She took a photo and sent it to Norman Lowe, who has collated and verified over 200,000 moth records, and he was able to tell her that it's the Streamer whose larva feeds on rose and he always think it’s one of the nicer Spring moths.

I spoke to Carol to ask her if I could share this on my blog and she said yes please.

If you find a moth, please take a picture, send it to Carol ( and she will send to Norman to identify, who knows we could end up with a wonderful collection not only throughout the National Park but beyond!
