Oh my days I recently had a Traditional Thai Massage at Baan Siam in Twyford and I literally floated out of the door with no aches or pains, full of energy and a renewed sense of wellbeing. I was very kindly offered a Traditional Thai Massage for review purposes and this is my honest review.
What is Traditional Thai Massage?
Traditional Thai massage has its origins dating back some 2,500 years as a Buddhist holistic healing technique. Through gentle stretching and pressure applied with the hands and feet, the therapist is able to relieve muscular and joint tension, adjust skeletal structure and posture, remove accumulated toxins from the muscles and balance the body’s natural energy. Designed to heal physically, emotionally and spiritually, Thai massage is a great way to increase health, vitality and well being.
I arrived at the treatment room on Church Street, Twyford and was greeted by a very smiley Thongbai who showed me to a large room with a huge treatment table, pretty flowers and delicate tinkly music. After an initial consultation I was left to remove my clothing and then the massage began. Oh my days, my body was manoeuvred and massaged and stretched with firm hands and a gentle touch.
Thongbai is a professionally qualified and experienced traditional Thai therapist. She gained her qualifications at the Wat Pho Temple Thai Traditional Medical and Massage School in Bangkok. Thongbai has been practising Thai massage therapy in the Windsor and Maidenhead area for the past 3 years. During this time she has gained a number of regular corporate and private clients.
I can safely say that I will be returning and have no hesitation in recommending Baan Siam to anyone who might be in need of a Thai Massage or perhaps as a gift for someone!
