There's a lot to be thankful for in 2016 and it boils down to people.

Specifically the people I surround myself with, whose company I treasure, who rock up and swing by, who make me feel like a dazzling star when I feel like a dull glum, who suggest one more drink or maybe not another drink (those people are either one or the other), who hang around when I'm cooking and walk away with grub, and those I might not know who tune in, read my blogs and columns.

Not forgetting the home growns who push every button but somehow aren't up there with the buttons of the white goods.
